Specialized Course on Regular Script Radicals and Components

This course focuses on common Chinese character radicals and components, making it ideal for students who wish to understand the structural principles of Chinese characters. The instructor will select common radicals for practice, explaining the writing direction, spatial positioning, length ratios, and layout characteristics when combined with other components. Class activities include individual component practice, copying full characters, and comparing similar shapes, allowing students to gradually familiarize themselves with how radicals appear in different characters. Before the course concludes, components requiring further review will be identified based on practice performance, and a list of characters suitable for post-class practice will be provided.
