1. Introduction

These Terms of Service govern the use of this website and the booking of appointment-based, in-person calligraphy lessons provided at an agreed location.

By submitting a booking request, customers agree to the applicable service details and booking conditions. Customers should read these Terms, the relevant service description and the Refund Policy before completing a booking.

2. Services

We offer calligraphy lessons by appointment. The content, duration, location arrangements and other features of each lesson are specified in the relevant service listing.

All appointments are subject to availability and written confirmation. A booking request does not constitute a confirmed appointment until confirmation has been issued.

Any material change to an agreed service or appointment must be communicated and agreed between the parties.

3. Pricing and Booking Deposits

All prices displayed on this website represent booking deposits only, unless a service listing expressly states otherwise.

Before a customer becomes bound by a booking, the applicable service description and payment information will identify:

  • The full price of the selected lesson.
  • The deposit payable at the time of booking.
  • Any remaining balance and when it becomes due.
  • Any additional charges that apply to the booking.

The deposit will be credited towards the total lesson price. Customers are responsible for paying any outstanding balance in accordance with the agreed payment arrangements.

No additional charge will be imposed without an applicable contractual basis and appropriate disclosure.

4. Booking Procedure

Customers must provide accurate contact details, the requested service and the information reasonably required to arrange an appointment.

After receiving a booking request and the applicable deposit, we will review the request and communicate the booking status. An appointment is confirmed only when written confirmation has been issued.

If a requested appointment is unavailable, an alternative date or other suitable arrangement may be discussed. Where a booking cannot be accepted, any payment received will be handled in accordance with the applicable refund terms and consumer law.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate booking and contact information.
  • Reviewing the lesson description and applicable charges before booking.
  • Being available at the agreed time and location.
  • Providing reasonable access to the agreed teaching location.
  • Informing us promptly of relevant changes to the booking.

Where a customer requests a change, the request is subject to availability and agreement. Additional charges may apply only where they have been disclosed and agreed in advance.

If a customer does not attend or is unavailable at the agreed time, the matter will be handled under the disclosed cancellation and missed-appointment conditions, subject to applicable law.

6. Rescheduling and Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel or reschedule an appointment should contact us at calligra@inklessonly.com and include their booking reference and appointment details.

Requests will be assessed in accordance with the applicable booking conditions, the notice provided and any relevant statutory rights.

Where a cancellation charge applies, it must have been disclosed before booking, have a lawful basis and be proportionate to the circumstances. Any refund due will be processed in accordance with the Refund Policy and applicable law.

If we need to cancel an appointment, we will inform the customer and discuss an appropriate alternative arrangement or refund, as applicable.

7. Statutory Withdrawal Rights

For eligible online service contracts with consumers in the European Union, a statutory withdrawal period will generally apply as provided by the relevant consumer protection legislation.

Where applicable, the withdrawal period for a distance service contract is generally 14 days from the date the contract is concluded, subject to relevant national rules and statutory exceptions.

If a customer expressly requests that a lesson begin during the withdrawal period, the required legal acknowledgements and procedures will apply. Where a customer withdraws after service performance has begun, any amount payable for the service already provided will be determined in accordance with applicable law.

The right of withdrawal may cease after the service has been fully performed only where the relevant legal requirements have been met, including any required prior express consent and acknowledgement.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts a statutory withdrawal right where it applies.

8. Refunds

Refund requests must be submitted to calligra@inklessonly.com with the relevant booking reference and reason for the request.

Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances, the applicable booking conditions and the consumer rights available under relevant law.

Where a refund is due, it will be processed within the period required by applicable law. Any permitted deduction must have a lawful basis and must be communicated appropriately.

The deposit is not automatically forfeited merely because a customer requests cancellation. Equally, a customer may not claim a refund beyond the amount or remedy available under the applicable agreement and law.

Further information is provided in our Refund Policy.

9. Changes to Services

The scope of each lesson is set out in its service description. Requests for additional lesson time, a different location or changes to the agreed session may require a revised arrangement.

Any material variation, including any additional charge, must be communicated and agreed before it takes effect.

Where we need to make a material change that affects a confirmed appointment, we will notify the customer and discuss an appropriate arrangement in accordance with applicable law.

10. Website Information

We take reasonable care to present service descriptions, appointment information and pricing details clearly.

Customers should review the information displayed for the selected lesson before booking. If any material detail requires clarification, customers may contact us before making payment.

Nothing in this section limits any rights available to customers where information has been presented inaccurately or where mandatory consumer protection rules apply.

11. Liability

We are responsible for providing the agreed services in accordance with the applicable contract and law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for losses arising solely from circumstances outside our reasonable control, provided that this does not exclude responsibility for any breach of contract or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Consumers retain all mandatory rights and remedies available under applicable law.

12. Privacy

Personal information submitted during browsing, enquiries and booking administration will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation, including Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and the GDPR where applicable.

Customers should consult the Privacy Policy for further information about how their personal information is collected, used, retained and disclosed.

13. Complaints and Customer Enquiries

Customers may submit questions, complaints or requests concerning a booking by emailing calligra@inklessonly.com.

Please include the booking reference, relevant appointment details and a clear description of the matter. We will review the enquiry and respond within a reasonable period, taking account of its nature and any applicable legal deadlines.

14. Governing Law and Consumer Protection

Our business operates from Singapore and serves customers in European markets.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the relevant transaction. Where Singapore law applies, the relevant Singapore legislation will apply. Where mandatory consumer protection provisions of a customer’s country of residence apply to the transaction, those provisions remain unaffected.

Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of any mandatory protection or legal remedy available under applicable law.

15. Amendments

We may update these Terms when our services or applicable legal requirements change. The revised version will be published on this website with an updated revision date.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights already acquired under a confirmed booking. Where a change materially affects an existing agreement, it will be handled in accordance with the applicable contract and law.
